My Story

FOLLOWING MY CREATIVE HEART.

This is my back story.

Since I can remember I have been passionate about designing, making and creating; To me, the world of creativity is boundless. I am always looking to expand my skills and techniques on my creative journey through life, whether it be painting, clay, textiles, printing or mixed media.

Creative workshops have been a place to indulge my passions. A time to give myself headspace, to nurture myself and share in lovely conversations in the company of people from all walks of life.

It has always been a challenge to let go of the “busyness” of life and prioritise the creative mindset. It’s not always easy to find the time and space to do so; But when I do, I love every moment; And before I know it, I am immersed in my own wonderland, the minutes turning to hours.

It is the organic and holistic qualities of creativity that led me to study Art Therapy. The practice is so gentle yet powerful because the creative approach seems to intuitively channel the true self, which often leads to insights, increased self-regulation, mind-body integration and self-empowerment. And by the way Art Therapy doesn’t require any creative skills or art interest, it is just a medium to express thoughts and ideas through making marks.

For a long time I have aspired to setting up a studio, not just to nurture my own passions but to share the joy and therapeutic benefits of creativity.

So many people have been told that they are not creative but I don’t believe that. We are all born creative, it’s an innate part of being human and I believe it is an integral part of our wellbeing.
